Jerrene grew up in a small rural community in southeast Wyoming on her family's farm and ranch. She grew up in a Christian home and accepted Christ in the fourth grade. She holds an AA degree in Elementary Education and a BS in Office Administration. Following a divorce, she and her children moved and she became the Executive Director of Project Safe, which is a dual program that assists victims of domestic violence and sexual assault as well as providing assistance for victims of crime. Due to health problems, Jerrene was forced to resign and has scaled back on her activities, but continues to assist with ministry as much as possible. She remarried in 2007 and she and her husband are the proud parents of their four children, ages 19-24! She currently teaches music lessons in her community.

Kristen Ward

Board President

Kristen began working in full-time, cross-cultural ministry in 2004. She worked for many years alongside church-planting missionaries doing evangelism, discipleship, and leadership training with women and youth. Over time, she observed very interesting patterns in the challenges of ministry with those who had experienced trauma. God began to stir her heart to put the time and effort into learning how to reach hurting people with His love, hope, and truth in the most effective way possible. This desire led her to found and develop Mariposa Ministries.
